Notary Enforcement Statutes and the Requirement for Personal Appearance - CLE February 23, 2021 - 11 AM
This 1 hour CLE course will outline the legal requirements, benefits, and fraud prevention safeguards that personal appearance before a notary public affords to the principal signer, the public, and the recipient of a notarized document. In addition, the legal penalties for failing to require personal appearance and compelling a notary to violate the Notary Statute Chapter 10B or Subchapter 7B of Title 18 North Carolina Administrative Code, as well as various types of complaints the Department of Secretary of State investigates, will be addressed.
