In 2020, she led Truliant to become the first North Carolina credit union to offer fully electronic mortgage eClosings to homebuyers. A dedicated mortgage professional for three decades, she leads the credit union’s mortgage program with a goal of adding convenience and helping more members achieve their dream of homeownership. Eller serves as a member of the N.C. Secretary of State’s eMortgage Closing Advisory Committee.

Brian D Pannell serves as Senior Implementation Executive for DocMagic. In this role, he has managerial responsibility for all post-sales activities for customers who are adding eMortgage (eSign, eNotary and eVault) as well as Post-Closing (MERS eRegistry) technologies and efficiencies to their business models. With extensive experience in the evolution of eMortgage solutions, Brian has initiated industry leading implementation processes for DocMagic’s entire suite of eSolutions. Prior to joining the organization, Brian was VP of Client Services for eSignSystems. Brian also spent 17 years at Fannie Mae where he served as a Senior Manager responsible for the building and development of strategic third-party technology and business relationships. Brian attained his B.A. in Economics and Minor in Computer Science from Virginia Military Institute. He also has a M.B.A. in eBusiness from the University of Phoenix and acquired his Project Management Professional (PMP®) Certification from the Project Management Institute.

In 1996, Secretary of State Elaine F. Marshall became the first woman ever elected to a statewide, executive branch office in North Carolina.
Secretary Marshall was a member of the NC State Senate before rising to statewide office. She holds a B.S. in Home Economics from the University of Maryland and a law degree from Campbell University. She has received Honorary Doctorate Degrees from Campbell University, Lees-McRae College, Meredith College and the Republic of Moldova Testemitanu State University of Medicine.
Her work experiences include teaching Home Economics in the public school and community college systems, co-ownership of a book and gift store, establishing an interior decorating business and the private practice of law.
Secretary Marshall has been very active in many civic groups in the areas of child welfare, women's issues, and agriculture and small town economic development.

Esther is the Executive Director of Operations and Client Relations at Brady & Kosofsky, PA. Over the past 12 years Esther has proven herself as a thought innovator and leader in all aspects of the real estate closing, mortgage servicing, loss mitigation, title insurance and fintech industries. Esther is a hands on leader which has enabled her to develop the unique perspective of an industry stakeholder who thoroughly understands the expressed and unexpressed needs of the various client types. This enables her to develop workflows and products which satisfy those needs. As a project manager, Esther has led countless projects within all sectors of the industry. Esther has built teams and assembled various workflows and the accompanying training manuals for mortgage servicers and their closing operations based across the United States and around the world. Esther’s extensive experience and hands on approach made it possible to marry Financial Technology and its efficiencies with production and its needs. She believes technology does not build and design products, better yet, technology enhances the efficiencies and allows humans to do what they do best: communicate and provide customer service. Jaime Kosofsky is a founding partner of Brady & Kosofsky, PA, a Law Firm that focuses on real estate transactions in North Carolina and South Carolina.
Jaime focuses on the ever-changing laws and regulations in the title and settlement industry and how create efficient, compliant workflows to effectuate them. Brady & Kosofsky is an industry leader in cybersecurity, disaster recovery and all aspects of eClosing. Jaime is often published in numerous trade publications and he is a frequent speaker at various industry events. During the COVID crisis, Jaime has been an active member of the Drafting Subcommittee for proposed Remote Online Notarization Legislation. His articles on compliance, eClosing and the industry in general have been featured in Title News, The Title Report, and DS News. What sets him apart from other title and settlement professionals is the fact that he has sat at the closing tables for many thousand transactions and looked the consumer in the eye as they closed on their home or loan.

Jeremy Haynes is an Account Executive for ID.me’s Public Sector Team. He works with some of ID.me’s largest agency partners across both Federal and State. Prior to joining ID.me, Jeremy served as a digital identity Subject Matter Expert helping clients navigate the identity policy landscape. In his career, Jeremy has supported the development and made contributions to a number of flagship digital identity publications including NIST SP 800-63-3 Digital Identity Guidelines - Implementation Guidance, and international standards (ISO/IEC) for identity proofing and authentication. Jeremy graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Business Information Technology and a concentration in Decision Support Systems. Jeremy also played football for the Hokies as a Defensive End during all four years of his higher education.

Kelly Arrington serves as senior vice president and chief mortgage operations officer for Raleigh, North Carolina-based North State Bank, where she has worked since 2013. She brings 20-plus years of mortgage industry experience to the role, including origination, underwriting, closing, training and compliance. In her current position, she led the North State Bank team in bringing North Carolina’s first full e-closing to fruition in May 2017. She is a member of the North Carolina eMortgage Closing Advisory Committee and regularly promotes the benefits of eMortages.
Kelly graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in technology education. Prior to joining the mortgage industry, she taught in middle school, where she also coached the boy’s golf team. A native of Selma, North Carolina, she has lived and worked in Raleigh for over 25 years. Outside of work, she enjoys cheering for and supporting NC State Wolfpack athletics, biking, kayaking and spending time outdoors.

SVP of Collateral Management
Kent Scott directs collateral management services for the Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta. In his role, Mr. Scott manages the types of collateral accepted by the Bank and works with the Bank’s shareholders to help them maximize value from their eligible collateral. Prior to joining the Bank in 2003, Mr. Scott worked for Equitable Real Estate Investment Management as a commercial real estate underwriter and portfolio manager and for Lend Lease Real Estate Investments as a senior commercial real estate underwriter. Mr. Scott earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia.
Laurie Clark serves as systems specialist for Raleigh, North Carolina-based North State Bank, where she has worked since 2016. She brings a wealth of varied experience to the role. In her current position, she was part of the North State Bank team in bringing North Carolina’s first full e-closing to fruition in May 2017. She regularly facilitates eMortgages with the North State Bank team, settlement agent partners, and vendor partners. Laurie graduated from the University of West Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in French and a Master of Arts Degree in Political Science. Prior to joining the mortgage industry, she worked in a variety of fields including international logistics and computer manufacturing both in the United States and Europe. A native of Pensacola, Florida, she has lived and worked in Raleigh for four years. Outside of work, she and her family enjoy discovering all of the beautiful sites that her new home has to offer.
National Director of the Customer Group
Liz Barnicle is the National Director of the Customer Group at MERSCORP Holdings, Inc. The organization, with over 5,000 customers, owns and operates the MERS® System, which tracks the serving rights and beneficial ownership rights for over 77% of all mortgages in the U.S. MERSCORP Holdings also owns and operates the MERS® eRegistry, the national mortgage registry and system of record for identifying the Controller and Location of all electronic notes. Her primary focus is to support MERS® System Members as they evolve their business providing tools for digital mortgage implementation, including the MERS® System Residential, MERS® eRegistry and MERS® eNote Solutions. She entered the mortgage market in 2010 as a shareholder and member of the Sales Management Team at Titan Lenders Corp in Denver, CO. Her primary role was business development of a diversified product set that included; aggregating loans as a Jumbo Correspondent Investor, Trade Transaction Management, Whole Loan Purchase Review, General Fulfillment (outsourced closing, funding, post-closing and shipping), Warehouse Line QC and MERS Data Integrity and QA Services. She helped position Titan for a successful exit and acquisition by MetaSource in 2016. Liz joined MERSCORP Holdings, Inc. in March 2018 from MetaSource, a technology-driven provider of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) / Business Process Management (BPM) services. As Director of Business Development, she was tasked with cultivating the MERS® QA data integrity platform and other QC outsourced channels. She received a BA in Media Communications and Minor in Biology from University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Since earning the MBA’s Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP) designation, she is in pursuit of her Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) accreditation.
Mark is a graduate of Appalachian State University and became a full-time REALTOR® in 2005.
He serves the REALTOR® community by participating on the Board of Directors for the Winston-Salem Association of REALTORS® and the North Carolina Association of REALTORS®. He is also a member of the North Carolina Association of REALTORS® Young Professionals Network, serving as vice-chair in 2014 and chair in 2015.

Nancy G. Pratt is the Vice President of Partner Relations and Government Affairs for Pavaso. She provides team leadership in attaining company goals, and manages the strategic relationships for the growth of the company. She is responsible in maintaining the relationships at Federal and State level, understanding key regulatory issues and laws that pertain to the operations of Pavaso. She is involved with Sales Support and strategy of the promotion and development of the Digital Mortgage Solutions throughout the Title agent network and lender segment of the industry. Nancy has over 14 years of experience in the eMortgage/eClosing space, which played a key role in leading the go-to-market and implementation strategies for Pavaso's two CFPB pilots. Nancy has been in the mortgage/title industry for over 35 years and highlights of her career include industry milestones of performing the first complete eMortgage with lenders and conducting the first ever FHA and VA eClosings. Nancy has been invited to speak at various Industry Conventions as an eClosing/eMortgage subject expert. She is a member of the ALTA Government Affairs, Public Relations, State Regulatory Action and Technology Committee, ALTA Remote online Notary Taskforce and has been an ALTA Springboard facilitator in 2017 and 2018. She is the Co-chair of the MBA MISMO eMortgage Group and was elected to the MISMO Board of Governance Technology Committee in 2017 and 2018. Founding and Managing Attorney
Nathan Zaleski is the founding and managing attorney of Sterling Law, and brings 16 years of legal experience as a practicing real estate attorney.. Nathan manages an active real estate closing practice and has conducted and overseen countless thousands of real estate transactions, including residential, commercial, new construction, land development, land acquisitions and out-sales, trustee sales, foreclosures, execution sales, refinances, construction loans, conservation transactions, and many more. While Nathan has a background in many tough-fought real estate lawsuits, his practice now focuses on real estate transactions. Nathan currently sits on the Government Affairs Committee of the Raleigh Regional Association of Realtors. As a Committee member, he works on legislative, regulatory and political issues affecting the real estate industry at both the local and state level. He is also licensed by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission as a real estate broker and real estate instructor. He is an instructor at the J.Y. Monk School of Real Estate and enjoys teaching pre-licensing, post-licensing, and continuing education courses to real estate professionals across North Carolina. Director, Electronic Notarization and Notary Enforcement
Serving as the Chairman of the North Carolina Electronic Mortgage Closing Advisory Committee, Mr. Stallworth worked with mortgage industry stakeholders and directed the implementation of the state’s first viable electronic closing solution which will transform the multi-billion dollar mortgage industry. He also oversaw the publication of the Electronic Mortgage Closings in North Carolina 101 white paper, a first of its kind roadmap for lenders, attorneys and realtors to electronic mortgage closings. His efforts have led to North Carolina being the clear leader in eCommerce with the most registered eNotaries, having more than 90% of the state’s population with access to eRecording services and boasting the largest stream of electronic mortgage closing performed by the largest mortgage company in the nation. Stallworth developed the Secretary of State’s Continuing Legal Education program with a focus on educating the legal community on the laws governing notaries and electronic commerce. He is also responsible for the statewide notary education and training program including certifying notary instructors. Stallworth is charged with overseeing statewide investigations of notary misconduct and often serves as an expert witness for federal and state notary cases. He routinely engages and collaborates with other law enforcement agencies when notary misconduct intertwines with other criminal activities. A commissioned North Carolina Notary, registered eNotary and notarial practices expert, Stallworth graduated from Howard University in Washington, D.C., with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and public relations and was named by the National Notary Association as one of the 50 most influential people in the field of notarization over the past 50 years.

Peter Gwaltney has served as President & Chief Executive Officer of the North Carolina Bankers Association since January 2015. He is a former banker and previously served as CEO of the Louisiana Bankers Association. During his career, Peter has served on numerous committees with the American Bankers Association and currently serves on the ABA Board of Directors and Chairman of the ABA Alliance of State Bankers Associations. He is a Past Chairman of the Louisiana Governor’s Prayer Breakfast, a Past Chairman of the Graduate School of Banking at LSU and current serves as a member of the Board of Trustees at Mary Baldwin University in Staunton, Virginia and the Dean’s Advisory Council at the School of Business at Louisiana State University. Raj Penugonda is an eMortgage program lead in Freddie Mac’s Single-Family division. He is responsible for managing and improving the eMortgage program. Mr. Penugonda has over 18 years of experience in the residential mortgage industry, spanning the origination, default servicing and secondary market sectors. Shane Hartzler is Fannie Mae’s Director for Closing Solutions within the Single Family Digital Products group. In this role he leads strategy execution in the design, development, and improvement of digital closing and delivery solutions as part of Fannie Mae’s broader digital mortgage transformation efforts. He partners with customers and industry stakeholders to evaluate market needs and identify opportunities to drive adoption and support deliveries of digital mortgages.

Tim Anderson is SVP of corporate business development for Pavaso, Inc. He is responsible for developing product and corporate strategy and strategic partner relationships that enhance and drive adoption of their digital platform and services. Prior to Pavaso he was Director of eStrategy and Services for DocMagic. He brings over 35 years of industry experience having worked on both the lender and vendor side of the business. He has held executive management positions with LPS (now Black Knight Financial Services) , Stewart Title, Freddie Mac and HomeSide Lending where he ran the eCommerce Division and worked at technology companies like Microsoft, Dexma and Tuttle Information Services. He was also the original founder of the eMortgage Alliance" which promoted MISMO standards for delivering legally compliant paperless processes. He has served on the Advisory Boards of Microsoft and the Housing Roundtable.
